Services for authors

Every story deserves the right kind of care to reach its full potential. That’s why I offer four editing services to help you bring your story to life.

You can choose a complete start-to-finish package, mix and match based on your needs, or pick just one to focus your revisions. Together, we’ll make sure your story sweeps readers off their feet (or into another realm).

I’m open to working with all genres (fiction or nonfiction), but my favorites include fantasy, romance, and young adult fiction.

01
Manuscript evaluation

I’ll read your partial or full draft and provide a detailed editorial letter highlighting what’s working, what needs fine-tuning, and how to strengthen the plot, pacing, and characters. This is the perfect starting point if you want clear, big-picture guidance without in-text edits.

03
Copy edit

Line by line, I’ll refine your sentences for clarity, flow, and consistency, making sure grammar, punctuation, and style support your unique voice. The result? A smooth, immersive read that keeps your readers turning pages.

02
Developmental edit

I’ll work closely with your manuscript, leaving in-text comments and notes on everything from character arcs and emotional beats to worldbuilding and plot structure. This stage shapes the heart of your story before we move on to the finer details.

04
Proofread

I’ll catch lingering typos, formatting hiccups, and any inconsistencies so your book is clean, professional, and ready to meet its readers.

How it works

Step 1: Choose your service

Decide whether you’d like the full journey (all four stages of editing), a custom combination (two or three services), or a single service to target exactly what your manuscript needs right now.

Step 2: Get a custom quote

Once you know which services you’d like, I’ll provide a personalized quote based on your manuscript’s length and complexity, along with a clear timeline so you’ll know exactly when to expect your edits.

Step 3: Bring your story to life

We’ll work together to refine, strengthen, and polish your book—whether we’re mapping out your plot, tightening your prose, or giving your manuscript a final proof before publication.

Testimonials

I loved working with Christina! My book needed a lot of work, and she went above and beyond to make it the best it could be. You will not find someone more detail-oriented or organized! She asked great questions to understand the story and characters, identified and noted inconsistencies, gave helpful critiques with word choice and format, provided alternative ideas, and completed her own research on the topic to add clarity. I was blown away by how thoughtful and thorough her work is. She is a very talented editor!
